Between 75-100 Boy Scouts and their leaders from Franklin County learned winter survival skills this past weekend at an annual winter camp near the Copenhagen Basin parking lot off Idaho HWY 36.
Scout official Cecil LeFevre said scouts participated on Saturday morning in fire building demonstrations and activities, learned about hypothermia, “Sumo inner-tube wrestling,” played a Fox and Rabbit game, first aid, and the Klondike Derby race that is similar to a dog-sled race.
