The Preston Lions Club collected 53 pairs of glasses during a club-sponsored “Night for Sight” event last week at the Preston/Century boys basketball game.
The Club received help promoting the event from high school principal Jeff Lords and studentbody president Christian Hobbs.
Club president David Kunze said many fans indicated they forgot about the event and were directed to many local businesses where Lions Club collection boxes are located.
Louise Woolley and Kent Kindred collect old eye glasses to recycle at a recent PHS basketball game.
