Franklin County Medical Center interim administrator Richard Westerberg named his replacement Monday.
“We are exited to announce that Alan Bird has accepted the position as the new administrator for FCMC,” Westerberg said.
“He is highly qualified and is a good fit for both this position and the community.”
Bird is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Haskell Community Hospital in Stigler, Okla.
“We have been working towards living in Preston for over 10 years and our dream of becoming a part of the Preston community is coming true,” he said. “Preston is now our permanent home.”
He was recruited to rehabilitate a 25-bed critical access hospital where he focused on stabilizing the revenue cycle and increasing patient volumes.
The Oklahoma hospital was the third hospital he oversaw in his career as a hospital administrator.
