Preston City Council members approved a change to the city’s zoning ordinance recently. The change eliminates group child care as a permitted use within a business district. It also prohibits new residential construction and enlargement of existing residences within a business zone.
It does, however, allow improvements of existing residences within a business zone. The old ordinance would not allow for any remodeling.
