The West Side boys basketball team had a busy week, winning two games.
The first was against the Aberdeen Tigers on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The Pirates beat the Tigers 55–44.
Head coach Tyler Brown commented saying, “We just started making shots.”
It was a great victory for the Pirates, who are currently tied with Malad in district standings. Tate Fuller and Jaxon Smart both scored 12 points.
The second game was against the Dietrich Blue Devils on Friday. It was not on the original schedule, but the boys came out and beat the Blue Devils 74–61. This was the first loss for 1A Dietrich.
