DAYTON – West Side School District’s annual supplemental levy override election is less than seven weeks away and will be held on Tuesday, March 12.
The election this year will be conducted by the Franklin County Clerk’s office.
A new law, passed two years ago by the Idaho Legislature, places the county clerk’s office in charge of all elections in the county and includes all school district, city, fire and library district elections, among others.
Camille Larsen, county elections clerk, said the polling place for the override election will be at the traditional location at the West Side High School library.
School officials are asking patron support of a $90,000 override. Only a simple majority is needed for the measure to pass.
