Former Preston Indians Elise Keller and Kira Miller faced off recently as college rivals. Keller, at starting forward for Central Wyoming College, made two free throws at the end of regulation to put her team into the first of three overtimes. Western Wyoming College got the spark they needed at the end of the game from Miller who made a bucket to put her team in the lead. Miller’s Lady Mustangs finished the game with a three point victory over Central Wyoming, despite Keller’s 18 point, 15 rebound effort.
From last year’s double overtime win by Central Wyoming, to this year’s triple overtime victory by Western Wyoming, future matchups are sure to be just as exciting as both Miller and Keller bring leadership and intensity to their respective teams.
