WESTON – Recreation right now may center around sledding and building snow castles in Weston. But come warmer weather, a new playground will add more chances for fun among Weston’s youngsters and young at heart.
“We will be installing new playground equipment this spring,” said Weston Mayor Camille Larsen. In the traditional Franklin County spirit of volunteerism, many people will lend a hand to install the equipment, she said.
Proceeds from several annual 5K runs held in conjunction with the community’s yearly Pioneer Day are being tapped along with some city funds, the mayor said.
