Several seasonal roads in Franklin County are now closed to vehicular traffic because of snowfall. Enforcement of road–closed ordinances have begun.

The road from Birch Creek to Cub River is closed to all vehicles except snowmobiles or snow–grooming equipment from Dec. 20 to April 15. The road from the Albert Moser Campground parking lot to Willow Flat and beyond is also posted with closed–to–wheeled traffic signs.

Warren Wilde, county emergency services director, who is also chair of the tri–county snowmobile–grooming committee, said grooming of snowmobile trails that follow specific roads going from Albert Moser to Willow Flat and from Cub River to Birch Creek has started since recent snowfall.
