DAYTON – Vocal Point, Brigham Young University’s premiere contemporary a cappella ensemble, will perform this Friday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Dahle Performing Arts Center in Dayton.
The concert will be reserved seating only. The tickets are $7 for students, $12 for adults, and $40 family pass (limit 6 tickets). The family pass is only available at the West Side District office at 747- 3411 or at the door. Other tickets are available on the West Side website, said Selena Bartholomew, who is in charge of local publicity.
Under the direction of McKay Crockett, Vocal Point’s nine-man vocal firepower propels harmonies far beyond traditional four-part possibilities. With inventive arrangements, humor and remarkable vocal percussion, Vocal Point continually invigorates audiences and generates fans, according to information supplied by BYU.
Vocal Point was founded in 1991 in Provo and produces under the BYU Record Label.
The performers will be spending Friday night with local families on the West Side so they can be close by for their performance on Saturday, Dec. 12, in Grace, said Bartholomew.
