Preston wrestlers tested their skills in the massive Rollie Lane tournament, held in the Idaho Center on Jan. 4-5. With over 500 wrestlers in its competitive pool, this tournament hosts teams from Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and California.
The Rollie Lane tournament is so large, in fact, that wrestlers compete in four-man pods just to qualify for bracket spots. Preston wrestlers who qualified for the tournament included Kaden Cole, Austyn Harris, Erick Silva, Cameron Dietrich and Seth Gregory.
Dietrich, a senior, received a medal for sixth place in the 113-pound weight class. Each of Dietrich’s five wins at the tournament came as pins.
The Tribe heads to Blackfoot on Wednesday for more dual action.
