Preston City, Franklin County, state and federal offices will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25, in celebration of the Christmas holiday.
The post office plans to operate on a reduced schedule on Monday, Dec. 24. The lobby will be open from 8 a.m.-noon. Postmaster Val Porter said full delivery will be made that day. The post office will also close on Tuesday, Dec. 25, and reopen on a regular schedule on Dec. 26.
The Franklin County Landfill will be open on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The facility will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 25, and garbage normally collected that day will be picked up on Wednesday. The landfill will operate on a regular schedule on Dec. 26.
