Several seasonal roads in Franklin County will be closed to vehicular traffic tomorrow (Thursday) because of snowfall. Enforcement of road–closed ordinances will begin.
County Commission chair Dirk Bowles said if complaints are called in to the sheriff’s department citations will be issued, even though there has been little snow until the past few days.
The road from Birch Creek to Cub River is closed to all vehicles except snowmobiles or snow–grooming equipment from Dec. 20 to April 15. The road from the Albert Moser Campground parking lot to Willow Flat and beyond is also posted with closed–to–wheeled traffic signs.
Bowles said several other roads in the county are also posted with signs that say seasonal travel only.
