Where else can you enjoy a prime rib dinner, live background music from a fine orchestra and a social experience with people you know for only $15?
The Festival Candle Light Dinner and Silent Auction will be held this Friday, Nov. 2, at the Robinson Building. Mary Ann Cox, who is assisting Ron Smellie with the event, said, “There will be two seatings, one at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m.
Smellie wanted to emphasize this is fancy occasion.
“People should dress appropriately. This dinner should help those who attend get into the Christmas Spirit,” he said. “All proceeds will go to the Festival of Lights.”
This year’s food will be prepared by two local restaurateurs, Mike Nicholas from New York Deli and Gordon Brewster from Mis Amores. These expert chefs will ensure everyone’s plate will be worth its price.
Last year over 300 people participated in the fundraiser at the Robinson Building and they are preparing for the same number this year.
“Tina Ross, who did a fabulous job last year, will spearhead the decorations this year,” said Smellie.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Smellie at Webb Funeral Home, 852-0533 or Saundra Hubbard at 339-1674.
