A slow start and some early mistakes put Preston into a hole they couldn’t climb out of Friday night when visiting Bonneville took the last football game of the year from the Indians 30-15.
Troubles started for Preston even before the game got started. The Indians received two off-sides penalties on the opening kickoff.
On Bonneville’s opening play of the night tailback Trae Walker grabbed a screen pass and scampered 60 yards for pay dirt.
Later in the quarter, Indian quarterback Derek Fryar threw an interception. On the next play, the Bees scored a second touchdown..
After that shaky start, Preston seemed to settle down and played Bonneville almost even.
