Preston volleyball players ended their season at the district tournament this past weekend. They played number-one ranked Bonneville to start the tournament and lost 3-0. Saturday morning they played Rigby.
“We won the third set and played close in the final fourth set,” said Coach Bridgett Knapp.
“The team, as a whole, played well. I was really proud of them coming out and fighting. It is easy at the end of the season to not want to fight anymore, but my team came out the last two sets of the season and really fought.
“I brought 12 girls with me to district and everyone of them contributed to make our team better. This has been a great season. We have come together as a team and made improvements throughout the year.
“We have some very tough opponents in our district. We will need to continue to improve to be able to compete, but I know I have the girls that will dig down and do the work to help that happen.
