Up to 28 young hunters took part in a youth pheasant hunt held recently in the Glendale area.
The local chapter of Pheasants Forever, with help from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, sponsored the hunt.
There were 28 local hunters who participated, along with their parents, said Douglas Webb, one of the organizers. He said the IDFG provided up to 60 birds for the hunt. Trevor Hansen, Jordan Webb and Hunter and Stacey Moyle brought dogs to help the hunters, he added.

Mark Nate draws a bead on a flushed pheasant during a recent Pheasants Forever youth hunting day. Some 28 youth hunters took part, according to Douglas Webb, one of the organizers of the local event.
There were three different shoots, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Participants had to be aged 10- 16 and have a completed Hunter Education Certificate.
