DAYTON – This week was Malad week for the West Side Pirates. They faced their rival, the Dragons, in both volleyball and football. The volleyball team did not fare as well as the football team, but still learned valuable lessons.
Brittani Moser played a great game and Casey Rich also excelled in her blocking and spiking ability. West Side lost the first match 23–25, in a close game. In the second match Alexis Maw did well with some excellent hits. But the Pirates lost 11–25, and also lost the third match 17–25.
