The Indians defeated Shelley on Oct. 3 with a decisive 6-0 shutout in boy’s soccer .

“It was cold, and we started that way a little,” said Coach Robert Bowles. “Once we got going we had great scoring chances and Zac Roper got back to scoring, with a hat trick.”

On Oct. 2 Preston played Blackfoot at home for Senior Night which determined the first and second place seeding in the district. The Indians lost 4-1 putting them as the second seed.

“We gave up two early goals to their star player, when he got clear runs behind our defense,” said Bowles.

Landon Broadhead was one of four seniors the Indians honored in their final home match of the season. Cameron Dietrick, Vini Silva and Vetle Foss were the others.

Bowles said he is pleased his young team has fared as well as it has.

The district tournament started on Tuesday at Century High School in Pocatello where Preston faced Pocatello in a six-team bracket.
