Jay Wilde, who runs black Angus cattle on Forest Service ground, brought his animals to his Birch Creek Ranch recently. Wilde got back in the cattle business in 1995 after being a diesel mechanic for 20 years. There is growing concern among cattlemen in southeast Idaho that more of their livestock are disappearing.
Area cattle producers had a meeting in Preston recently to discuss what can be done to be more vigilant and aware of what’s going on around their livestock.
