WESTON – Property owners in Weston don’t have to worry about any property tax hike being imposed by the city council beyond the three percent allowed by state law to account for such factors as growth, Mayor Camille Larsen said.
That extra three percent amounts to about $2,500, and will be added to the budget which is still well below $100,000. In fact, it’s closer to $85,000 for the coming fiscal year that starts Oct. 1, the mayor said.
There are no major upcoming projects, other than the on-going snow plowing this winter and chip and seal projects on some city streets, Larsen said.
