Winter maintenance on a gravel road in the southeast section of Preston will remain unchanged. City crews will continue to plow snow on the steep road to the bottom of a hollow as it has done in the past.
That decision was made Tuesday by city officials prior to an annual budget hearing. The road east from Oakwood Drive to the edge of the city limits, known as Creamery Hollow Road, was discussed by the council at a recent meeting and the possibility of it being posted as no winter maintenance was discussed.
But following Tuesday’s meeting Mayor F. Lee Hendrickson said there will be no change in winter maintenance policy on the road. “It will be plowed as it has been in the past,” he said.
