Coach Jeri Obrien said, ╥Our focus this year is ╘defense wins games.╒ Volleyball looks like such an offensive game but good passing and a great defense will win matches so we are really focusing on that part of our game. We have such a strong district that we have to compete in every match and to do that we need to buckle down and work on the basics – passing and serving.╙
Junior Kennedy Bingham said, ╥Before the game we set high expectations for the team. We came out strong and finished strong. It was a great experience dedicating the game to Kenny.╙
The game was dedicated to Kenny Jacobson and his family. Kenny passed away recently and was a victim to melanoma cancer. The crowd was encouraged to wear black, the color of melanoma, in honor of Kenny and his family, who were present.
