Preston School Superintendent Joel Wilson announced Friday that both Preston High School and Preston Junior High were given a four-star rating and named among the top-performing schools across the state.
Education in Idaho is moving away from the restrictions of the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) and has implemented a new accountability system known as Idaho’s Five-Star Rating System. Tom Luna and the Idaho Department submitted a waiver request to the U.S. Department of Education. The waiver was sent to free Idaho from restrictions and penalties of NCLBA.
