The Preston boys soccer team had three games last week finishing up with Canyon Ridge in their first home game of the season on Saturday, Aug. 25. Twice the Indians came from behind and they took the lead in the second half, but ended the day with a 3-3 draw.
“They came ready to play and in five minutes scored on a quick counter attack and we couldn’t get back defensively,” said Coach Robert Bowles.
The early score didn’t seem to phase Preston who just kept working the ball around until Jorge Sanchez equalized in the twentieth minute. “Vinny Silva made a nice run and dropped him the ball about 25 yards out. Jorge hit the bottom left corner and the keeper couldn’t get there in time,” said Bowles.
