Good crowds enjoyed a variety of events at this year’s Franklin County Fair from the opening kick-off Arena Cross event to the ending Bull Bonanza.
Pleasant weather and a week packed full of a variety of events really made this year’s fair enjoyable, according to Fair Committee Chair Wes Harris.
“I’m usually so busy running around that I don’t have a lot of time to sit back and enjoy things,” he said. “But I had an unusually high number of folks come up to me all throughout the week and say how much they enjoyed things this year.
“I have the best fair board ever and it really, really helps when you can turn things over to these people and know it will get done. I want to express my appreciation to everyone who had anything to do with the fair this year. There’s just a lot of work that goes on behind-the-scenes by volunteers. Without them we couldn’t pull it off.
