The Harris G. Allen Family Fund donated money to Franklin County Medical Center Emergency Department to help provide medication to prevent damage associated with strokes.
This medication, TPA, if given within three hours of the onset of symptoms, may improve nerve damage recovery and reduce disability severity following some strokes, according to a hospital spokesperson.
