Garbett considered for judgeship

Todd Garbett, Prosecuting Attorney for Franklin County, is one of 12 applicants being considered for the Bear Lake County Magistrate Judge position being vacated by the Hon. O. Lynn Brower, who is retiring. Bower has been presiding in Bear Lake County as a senior judge Sixth Judicial District.

Garbett has been the Franklin County prosecuting attorney since 2005.

The Magistrates Commission will be meeting to review the applicants for the position of the Bear Lake Magistrate Judge in the coming weeks.

Evaluation questionnaires on the applicants have been sent to attorneys statewide. Questionnaires for public comment may be obtained from the Court Record’s office, at 624 E. Center, Room 218 at the Bannock County Courthouse in Pocatello, Idaho, or at your local elected clerk’s office at the county courthouse. You may email the trial court administrator who will email you a copy: suzyj@bannockcounty.us

Comments must be returned to the Trial Court Administrator’s office by no later than Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at the Bannock County Courthouse, 624 E. Center, Room 220, Pocatello, Idaho. The Magistrate Commission will take your comments in their consideration for the appointment to the position.
