The fourth-annual Franklin County Car Show will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Preston City Park from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

And organizer Bruce Moser of Whitney, is polishing his red, modified 1935 Chevy pick-up truck for the show at the City Park, in conjunction with the Franklin County Fair.

Moser bought the truck locally and spent three years working on it to get it into the condition it is in now. “It’s my baby,” Moser said.

It all started when former fair director John Balls urged Moser to get with local car enthusiasts and see if they could put together a show to enhance fair attendance.

It turned out to be a big hit. Moser not only had more cars than they expected, they had a lot of visitors stop and look at the vehicles on display.
