Baker Ward to compete in High School Final Rodeo

Baker Ward, a recent graduate of Preston High School, won the privilege of competing in the Rock Springs, Wyo., 64th Annual National High School Final Rodeo (NHSFR) from July 15 – 21 due to his team roping skills

Ward and his team-roping partner, Megan Gunter, who just graduated from Marsh Valley High School this year, will be competing with over 1,500 contestants from 41 states, five Canadian provinces and Australia, in what is touted to be the largest rodeo in the country. In addition to competing for over $200,000 in prizes, NHSFR contestants will be competing for more than $350,000 in college scholarships. Ward and his partner have been team-roping together for three years.
