Diane Hyde is closing the doors of the Gingerbread Shoppe at 74 S. State.

“I’ve decided to retire and Strictly Ballroom Dance Studio is going to move in,” she said.

Everything will be up for auction and will be gone on Saturday. The Gingerbread Shoppe has been in its current location since 1998. In 1992 Hyde opened the gift and variety store in the building where Tanglez Salon is currently doing business. Hyde plans to continue to decorate for weddings and refinish furniture.

“I would like to thank all those people who have supported me over the years,” she said.

The auction will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday June 30.

Jeff and Diane Hyde look over merchandise with auctioneer Gregory Marble. Hyde is closing the Gingerbread Shoppe on Saturday after an auction to clear out all of the merchandise.

Hyde expected everything to be sold by the end of the Saturday auction, even if takes all night.

For more information call Hyde at 406-9317 or check her Facebook page for more information.
