Chateau Mill is adding a new product to their cabinet line. They have started to build coffins with local materials they hope will appeal to Franklin County residents and their families.
“There is no secret the cabinet business has been slow the past couple of years,” said Brent Lass, a salesman and designer at Chateau Mill and Supply. While at a relative’s funeral he examined the casket and thought to himself, “we have the ability to build something like that.”
Brent Lass found a 1981 Lincoln hearse he uses to deliver his finished product.
