The expansion of Pepperidge Farms Goldfish production facility has begun. Vic Mahoney, the plant manager for the pastry making facility, confirmed they are adding 89,000 square feet to their existing plant. The cost of new construction and some re-purpose expansion is expected to be nearly $45 million. The addition will be added to the existing 225,000 square-foot facility on their 460 acres of property. The Campbell Soup Company owns the Richmond food production plant, which employs about 380 people currently. There are a good number of employees who commute from Franklin County.
