FRANKLIN – The Idaho Days committee announced this year’s line up for entertainment and activities for Idaho’s first-town celebration to be held June 27-30.

There are some great, new activities added to this year’s celebration to entice more people to come out and celebrate in Franklin than last year.

“We are going to have a Geocache Treasure Hunt on Saturday at 11 a.m. Get your GPS and vehicles ready to hunt around the area to win the prize,” said Angela Beckstead, who is heading up the activity with her husband, Ryan.

Susan Hawkes shows a family history book to Mark Wright of North Carolina and his brother, Ted, a retired Army soldier, who said he is from everywhere. The Franklin Relic Hall will be open during the Idaho Days festivities.

Meet at the Idaho Days Booth at the park, said Beckstead. Participants race around to find the coordinates, which will lead them to the final cache. There will be a grand prize and several consolation prizes.
