A clean air ordinance that has been proposed by the Franklin County commissioners and sent to area cities for approval was rejected by the Franklin City Council during its meeting last month and in response to that decision Bruce Olenick, DEQ regional administrator, spoke to council last week to review that action and urged them to rethink their action and adopt the ordinance.
Mayor Kimpton said he would support the council in whatever decision they made. The issue was tabled until the next council meeting.
