Southeastern Idaho Public Health invited the public to participate in an emergency response exercise at the Preston Fire Station on Thursday, May 24.
All participants received an ice-cream sandwich. The goal of the exercise was to review the functionality of a new plan for a “drive-thru” Point Of Dispensing. One of the bays at the station was turned into a drive-through corridor for dispensing medicine.
A person at the entrance asked for identity and gave participants a paper. The paper was taken to the next table where the participants were asked about allergies to medications. At the final stop medication, in the form of an ice cream sandwich, was given to the participant.
