DAYTON – West Side High School will graduate 42 seniors in one week during 7 p.m. commencement exercises on May 23 at the high school gymnasium in Dayton.

The motto for this year’s graduation is, “Only as high as we reach can we grow. Only as far as we seek can we go. Only as deep as we look can we see. Only as much as we dream can we be…,” author unknown.

West Side High School has named a valedictorian and a salutatorian. They are JD Cook and Straton Roberts. The valedictorian has a 4.0 grade point average in four years of high school, said graduation officials.
