POCATELLO – In what was supposed to be a rebuilding year, the Preston Girls’ track team easily took their third straight 4A Fifth District title in Pocatello on May 10-11, with 74 points.
The girls team has done a great job of coming together throughout the year and their hard work paid off,” said Coach Brandon Lyon. The Lady Indians placed first in six events and second in eight, all of which qualify for state.
Kenidee Hyde PRed in the 300 where she was second and 100 hurdles which she won with 16.49. Olivia Seamons won the triple jump with a mark of 35-4.5 and was on the 4×200 squad which also won. Both Hyde and Seamons qualified in three events. Kylee Wakley won the 400 (1:00.90), Caitlin Elgan the 3,200 (12:14) and Alexis Iverson took long jump (15-8.5).
