A 41-year-old Preston woman has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $95,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to two charges of grand theft.

Franklin County Prosecutor Todd Garbett said Lori Jones pled guilty to the charges in relation to embezzlement of funds from the Arctic Circle over a number of years while she was manager.

District Judge Mitchell Brown issued the sentence on Tuesday in a court session in Preston.

Garbett said Arctic Circle owner Nadine Murphy discovered some missing funds from her business in July 2011 and notified the Preston Police Department for an investigation.
