Details are still incomplete, but a new family physician is coming to Franklin County.
Daniel Y. Patten, M.S., is expected to start practicing in Preston in October, Franklin County Medical Center administrator Mike Andrus told the board of trustees last week.
He is originally from Louisiana and is married to former Franklin resident Roxanne Woodward. He graduated from Brigham Young University, the Medical School at Louisiana State University, and completed his family medicine residency in Greenwood, S.C. Patten is currently completing an extra fellowship in obstetrics and rural medicine in Tacoma, Wash.
