The 2012 Health and Wellness Expo, sponsored by Franklin County Medical Center, was a “wild” affair this year. The annual event had attendees “swinging from the vines” as they participated in the many free booths that were offered.
The Preston Lions Club offered vision screening; Preston Elks were on hand for Prescription Disposal; and the FCMC Physical Therapy offered balance testing. The hospital offered mammograms, chem panels, PSA screens and Tetanus shots.
The number of families who attended was up. Kids visited the Life Flight Helicopter, tried their luck at the Jungle Fish Pond, had their faces painted and waited in line for Spongee’s wild animal balloons. They also spent time at Tarzan’s Tree House and had fingerprinting done by the Preston police force.
