CLIFTON – John Burg was named as Clifton City’s building inspector. Burg works with the county and will be paid by the county through the 30/70 split.
The ordinance goes into place the moment it is passed. Council approved both the International Building Codes and the Inspection Service Agreement.
A discussion on the residential wood combustion ordinance left some angry that they were being told what they can and cannot do.
Commissioners Dirk Bowles and Richard Westerburg explained why the ordinance was being brought to the county. Both fielded questions and addressed concerns.
