It’s a sure sign of spring in Preston as robins are pecking on the lawn and geese are flying overhead. Vehicles are once again allowed to park overnight on city streets.
The ordinance banning parking expires Saturday, March 31.
Beginning Nov. 1 each year and running through March 31, parking vehicles, RVs or trailers on any city street in Preston is prohibited from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Officials said parking any type of vehicle on city streets during winter months is prohibited because it impairs snow removal efforts.
