Franklin County Medical Center Hospice Bereavement Support Group

March 14, 2012

Franklin County Medical Center Home Health / Hospice will be holding a bereavement support group 22 March 2012, at 2:00 P.M..

The meeting will be held at the Transitional Care Center, in the sunroom, located next to the dining room. The support group is open to anyone interested in attending. Caregivers that are also dealing with losses at this time are also welcome.
Support groups can be very helpful since they can bring together people with a common bond to share and encourage each other. A support group can be a safe‹‹place where you can share your struggles, losses, hopes and successes with others who may be experiencing a similar event. For many people talking about this time can be very helpful. Listening to others share their own stories can also help you understand what you yourself are feeling at this time.

Even if you are coping well in your grief, you may still benefit from the friendship a support group may offer.
The grieving and healing process following the death of a loved one is unique for everyone. At times your grieving work must be done alone, and at other times it is good to share. As we meet with others for support we can realize that we do not have to be alone at this time.

The support group will be facilitated by Diana Barrington, Hospice social worker for Franklin County Medical Center Home Health / Hospice. For additional information please call the Home Health office at 852-1937
