During a blizzard last week, Franklin County’s first state Republican Party caucus came together for party chairman Rob Tondini and his crew like they had been doing it for years.
A turn out of a over a thousand organizers, voters, spectators and students flooded the Preston High School Gymnasium almost to capacity to be part of the inaugural event.
“Some of the spectators, some of their kids and some students from the high school came because their teachers gave extra credit to those who came to watch. The place was full, it was nice to see considering the weather,” said Tondini.
Neal Larson represented the Romney camp and encouraged participants to cast their token for his candidate.
