Preston’s Brennyn Dunn runs for yardage against Century last Octoberl. The senior has been asked to play at Boise State University this August as a “preferred walk-on.” The Broncos actually recruit for the walkon positions and Dunn was one of eight players asked to come to the area football power to participate.

Football fans from Franklin County will be following the Boise State Broncos a little closer this fall to see the progress of Preston’s Brennyn Dunn.

Dunn was recently invited to play football for BSU as a preferred walk-on and said he is very excited about the opportunity to go to Boise to play for such a prestigious program.

BSU officials are looking at Dunn to play at the tight end position and he said he will have to bulk-up quite a bit to get to the level they want. Right now he weighs 216 and his target weight is 260.

“I’m not too worried about losing speed at the higher weight level. I run 40 yards in 4.6 seconds. I’ve played three sports in high school (football, basketball and track) and don’t think it will be much of a problem. They’re not going to let me get fat or lazy. They said they want me to be a lean, mean, fighting machine.”
