Friends of the Jim Hull family are holding a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser to help the children pay for outstanding medical and funeral expenses for their parents. The breakfast will be held on Saturday, March 3, from 7 -10 a.m at the city fire station.
“We had two funerals this past year: one for our father and one for our mother. Mike Lower and Blayne Rounds helped organize the event for us, the children,” said David Hull, a surviving son.
“Mike and I were real good friends with Jim. We just wanted to do it for the kids. Jim was our soul mate,” Rounds said.
They are hoping to feed about 250 people, all for whatever donation people are willing to make
“It would be nice to have a lot of people show up; we are planning for about 250 people. Ritewood Eggs, Gossner’s and Stokes Marketplace all donated to the breakfast,” Rounds said.
Jim Hull died of cancer the end of January last year and his wife, Sophia, was killed in a tragic accident the week of Thanksgiving the same year.
