If you were busy on Sunday, Jan. 29, and missed the Bear River Massacre memorial, Paula Watkins, a library consultant for the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone, produced a video of some of the highlights of the three hour meeting for The Preston Citizen.
Check out the approximately 18-minute video of the memorial held at the historic marker just off U.S. HWY 91 in the Bear River Bottoms.
Watkins said that despite the service being held on Sunday, they had a good crowd.
Both the Shoshone and the non-Indian had a chance to share their feelings about that cold January day in 1863.
