The Northwestern Band of Shoshone Tribal Chairman Jason Walker welcomed nearly 200 people to the 149th annual memorial ceremony last Sunday morning commemorating the Bear River Massacre.
The temperature was in the mid-to upper-20s and a strong breeze came from across the fields in the Bear River bottoms as they met under open skies.
