MOSES – WHITING
Grant and Pat Moses, of Preston, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Peitra, to Samuel Whiting, son of Peter and Natalie Whiting of North Salt Lake, Utah, on March 8, 2014. The wedding took place at the Bountiful LDS Temple and was followed by a reception that evening at Cactus and Tropicals in Salt Lake City, Utah.
An open house will be held April 19, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the Moses residence, 1054 W. 1600 S., Preston- Fairview, Idaho. Friends and relatives are invited.
Sam is a 2010 graduate of Woods Cross High School. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Omaha, Neb., from 2011-2013. He is employed at National Benefit Solutions and is currently attending Utah State University. Peitra attended Idaho State University after her 2010 high school graduation. They plan to continue their educational programs.
Sam and Pete met while canyoneering in Zions National Park last year, as part of an experienced group of climbers. One thing they didn’t anticipate was that this “adventure” would culminate into an eternal relationship.
Sam and Peitra would like to express their gratitude to all the friends and family who have supported them from the beginning of their life-long adventure that will last into the eternities.

SWAINSTON – CARLEY
Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Swainston are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Jessica, to Joseph Carley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carley.
Jessica graduated from Wasatch High School in 2010. She was captain of the swim team and was also on the tennis team. She graduated from USU Eastern with an Associate of science and cosmetology license. She will graduate from Utah State University with her Bachelor’s in communicative disorders and deaf education in May 2014. She is currently a hair stylist at Great Clips in Logan.
Joseph graduated from Mountain Crest High School in 2011. He was captain on the football and wrestling teams. He is an Eagle scout. He then served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Donetsk Ukraine Mission. He is currently attending Utah State University studying human movement science with an emphasis in physical therapy. They were both members of the Seminary Council and four year graduates of Seminary.
After seven years of long distance dating and Jessica waiting for Joseph while on his mission, they will finally be sealed to each other on April 18, 2014, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
A reception will be held in their honor on April 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the Edelweiss Center on 210 E. Main Street in Midway, Utah.
An open house will also be held in their honor on April 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hyrum Civic Center on 83 W. Center Hyrum, Utah.
Joseph and Jessica would like to thank Marinda Hicks, Becka Roberts, Sandi Carley, Debbie Holdaway, Debbie Rupp, Sherrie Rupp, Sharon Rupp, Becky Johnson, Brittney Swainston, and Holly Voges for hosting the bridal showers.
The couple will be going to Palm Springs, Fla., for their honeymoon in June.
They will make their home in Logan, where Jessica will be working and Joseph will be working while going to school.
The happy couple would like to thank their parents and family for their love and support.

ELISON – CHANG
Pandi Ann Elison and Richard K. C. Chang II, with their parents Doyle and Glenda Elison, of Preston; Dr. Mary Beard-Reese and Neil Reese, of Sedalia, Mo.; and the late Dr. Richard K. C. Chang, of Hawaii, are pleased to announce their marriage, which took place on April 1, 2014, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple.
Pandi graduated from Preston High School, earned a B.S. in political science, history, and English from Utah State University, and a M.A. from Grand Canyon University. Pandi is currently employed at Preston High School. Richard served a LDS mission in the Taipei Taiwan Mission. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from BYU, and his J.D. degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School. He is currently employed at ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. as associate general counsel.
The couple would like to invite all those who have had a positive impact on our lives to join with us from 6-8 p.m. at a reception on Saturday, April 19, held at the Cub River LDS meetinghouse, 5307 E. Cub River Road, Preston, Idaho. We apologize to all of those who we have overlooked in sending a formal invitation and hope you will still join with us this evening.

CHILD – LARSON
Robert and Karen Child of Preston, are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Abbey Sarah Child, to Troy Dallin Larson, son of Troy and Jennifer Larson of Preston. They will be married Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Logan LDS Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7-9 p.m. in the 1st, 5th, 8th Ward meetinghouse, 213 S. Second East, in Preston. All friends and family are welcome to come celebrate with the new couple.
Dallin and Abbey both graduated from Preston High School and Preston LDS Seminary (2011 and 2012) where they were active in sports, music and student government. Dallin received his Eagle Scout and Duty to God awards and Abbey received her Young Womanhood Recognition while attending high school. Dallin recently served an LDS mission in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Spanish Speaking Mission. Abbey has been attending Brigham Young University-Idaho majoring in elementary education. Dallin is also currently attending BYU-I majoring in welding engineering and is employed on the Dalling Ranch.
Abbey and Dallin will begin their lives together in Rexburg, Idaho, continuing their educations. They are registered at U & I Furniture in Preston and WalMart. They would like to thank their family and friends for the bridal showers, love, support and encouragement in preparing for their future lives together.
